About
Courage Cottages

Our Mission

Courage Cottages’ mission is to provide safe, compassionate, and temporary housing for families of pediatric oncology patients who must travel for medical treatment, easing the emotional and financial burden during an already difficult journey. We exist to ensure families can stay close to their child, supported by the kindness of others and the comfort of a home away from home.

Our vison

Courage Cottages envisions a world where no family facing childhood cancer has to choose between medical care and a place to stay. We aspire to be a trusted haven of hope, rest, and dignity, where families are welcomed, supported, and reminded they are not alone.

The five commitments that guide every family we welcome.

Our Values

Courage

Presence

Dignity

Hope

We are named for the little heroes at the center of our mission. Courage is not the absence of fear; it is choosing to show up anyway.

The most powerful thing a parent can give a seriously ill child is simply being there.

Families in crisis deserve comfort, beauty, privacy, and the feeling of being genuinely welcomed.

We hold hope on behalf of every family, even on the days they cannot hold it themselves.

We are built on the generosity of people who show up for families they have never met.

Community

Board & Founders

Our board combines lived experience, professional expertise, and deep love for West Texas. Every decision we make is guided by one question: What best serves the families who stay at Courage Cottages?
