You Found Us.

Courage Cottages is a little hero’s home away from home — and that means it belongs to your family too.

We want to be honest with you from the start: our housing is limited, and we may not always have space available when you reach out. We will never leave you wondering. We do our best to respond as quickly as we can — and if we cannot help right now, we will tell you clearly so your care team can continue supporting you.

If you are here, you are exactly who we exist for. You are welcomed, supported, and you are not alone.

What Courage Cottages Looks Like

It’s a real home. Not a hotel room, not a shared facility, not a waiting room with beds.

There is a kitchen where you can make your child’s favorite meal. There are beds with fresh linens prepared before you arrive. There is beauty, comfort, and quiet. There is space for your family to exhale.

We maintain HEPA air filtration throughout the home. We deep-clean between every family. We think about the details so you don’t have to — because our job is to ease the emotional burden of this journey, not add to it.

You are not merely accommodated here. You are genuinely welcomed.

Who Can Stay at Courage Cottages

We provide housing for families whose child is receiving pediatric oncology treatment in Lubbock. We are currently partnering with Covenant Children’s Hospital as our primary referral source, with plans to expand to additional facilities as we grow.

To be considered:
Your child is receiving cancer treatment at Covenant Children’s Hospital or another Lubbock oncology facility Your family’s home is 40 or more miles from Lubbock You have been referred by a hospital social worker or care coordinator, or have reached out to us directly

Not sure if you qualify? Please reach out anyway. We will do everything we can to help you find a solution, even if it is not us.

What It Costs

Families contribute $20 per night toward operating costs when they are able. If that amount is a hardship, please reach out anyway — no family is ever turned away for financial reasons. Our neighbors and sponsors cover the rest so cost is never the reason a family sleeps somewhere they shouldn't have to.

Courage Cottages Is Opening Soon.

We are finalizing our first home and will begin accepting referrals shortly. We are not yet able to place families, but we want to know you are out there.

If your family may need housing in Lubbock for pediatric oncology treatment, email us at families@couragecottages.org with the subject line "Housing Interest." We will reply personally and honestly about our timeline — and you will be among the first families we contact when our doors open.

We are coming. Keep going.
